My amazing summer school students,

This week has been a real challenge for me! :) I did not know what to expect and what kind of students I would meet....But the week has hust flown away like one hour and I am so lucky that I have met the greatest young people ever, all of YOU! :)

It was really interesting for me to work with you, to know you, to see how innitiative and creative you are! I do want to praise you for the work you have done and I do hope that the week you have spent here, learning English has helped you in one way or another. I hope you will all have only good memories over this week in Vilnius?! :)

I will save your great projects and posters as the best example of the most wonderful students! :)

THANK YOU! :)

Have a lovely summer, great and adventurous holidays and hope that I will meet you again one day in future, maybe even as EHU students!? :)

Best wishes,

Jurga.

Drilling exercises with Future tenses!

 Dear students,

Like I always say, nothing can be achieved without practice. It will never be enough just to know the rule (although it is highly essential), we need to do exercises, we need to speak and write, and all these actions will lead to a very good result!

Hence, let's start with some additional practice here on the blog and we will continue our work on these tenses in the class!

Here are the links to some useful sites, where you will have plenty of opportunities to make your grammar better! :)

Best wishes,

Jurga :)

Future Tenses...as important as all the other tenses in English!

 My great group,

Our grammar part for today is related to Future Tenses, i.e. Present Simple for Future, Present Continuous for Future, BE GOING TO form, Future Simple, Future Continuous and Future Perfect.

I am sure you know a lot about these tenses, yet it is never too late to revise them, which is actually the aim of our class!

Like always, in addition to what we have done in the class, I will share with you some useful links on theory connected with the above mentioned English Grammar tenses:

Have a productive and enjoyable time! :)

Yet, I would like you to practice more and to give you more opportunities to master today's topic, i.e. Narrative tenses. You will find below very useful links with more exercises:

Enjoy the work!

You are the best! :)

Practice makes perfect...

If we want to understand theory better, we all need some practice, and the more we practice, the better we become at certain subjects. Hence, I would like to share with you some links where you will be able to have some additional practice on English Verb Tenses:

I hope these links will help you and you will improve your knowledge of these particular tenses!? :)

Enjoy the work! :)

Present and Present Perfect Tenses

We are starting with the revision of English present and perfect tenses! What are they?
  • Present Simple
  • Present Continuous
  • Present Perfect
  • Present Perfect Continuous
  • ... any others? :)

I would like you to go and look through the following links where you will find excellent information on the rules, formulae, examples and exceptions of the above mentioned tenses...Practice becomes efficient when we work with theory, analyse it and apply it later while speaking, writing or doing usual exercises! Let's do this, let's analyse the theory! :)

Self-evaluate your language skills

http://www.businessihub.com/know-the-art-of-self-evaluation/
Dear all,

Let's try and self-assess our language skills based on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

I have briefly introduced this document in the class today and would like each of you to take a look at this link, where you can nicely play a kind of game, answer the questions and you will find your present level of language. We will also try to do this on Friday and we will see what we together have achieved this week! :)

The link to the test-game to measure your level is here:

I would like you to send me your results by email! :)

Thank you! :)
